Here’s what it’s really like to study for a Bachelor of Teaching/Bachelor of Arts.
6am
Wake up! My alarm goes off and I like to go for a run before the day gets going.
7am
A fried egg with cheese on toast is my usual go-to breakfast.
8am
I jump in my car for the drive to uni, which usually takes me about an hour. Luckily, there’s free car parking on campus for students.
8.30am
My first class drama tutorial starts.
11am
After the tutorial has finished, I head to the library with some classmates to use one of the group study rooms and we’ll work on our assignments together.
12.30pm
Grab lunch with friends.
2pm
I have my second class of the day.
3.30pm
I work at a local after-school care centre that’s not too far from campus. I love being around the kids and I’ve learnt so much from them already.
6pm
I’ve always loved playing volleyball. I’m in a team with some friends and we often get together to play.
7.15pm
I head home for dinner. I like spending this time with my family, just relaxing together. When I get tired, it’s time for bed – usually around 10pm.
